Facilities Use | Print |

Officials of Altus Public Schools would like to remind the public that all requests for the use or rental of school facilities must be received at least 45 days in advance.  This requirement allows the Facilities Use Agreements to be finalized in time to be voted on at the regular meetings of the Altus Board of Education.

According to the school district’s policy on facilities use, as well as state law, all Facilities Use Agreements must receive final approval by the local school board, in order to place limitations on the school district’s insurance liability in cases of accident or injury.

The building rental fee remains at $100 per day, or $360 for three hours if admission is charged.  In addition, there are required fees for an on-site certified supervisor, custodial staff, and cooks (if necessary).

Facilities Use Agreement Forms are available in the principal’s offices of local schools, or may be downloaded here.  While rental agreements are pre-approved by the individual school principals, the final approval rests with the Altus Board of Education.  Any requests for the rental or use of school facilities that are not received at least 45 days in advance will not be approved.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
