Committed to the awesome responsibility of administering and setting policies for the district, the Altus Board of Education meets monthly to insure that a quality education program is offered to all Altus students. The Board consists of five elected members and an ex-officio member representing Altus Air Force Base. The elected members serve five-year terms.

All regular monthly meetings are held in the Board Conference Room of the Administrative Center, located at 219 North Lee Street. The public portion of each meeting begins at 5 p.m., and the executive session follows. All Altus Schools patrons are invited to attend.

Citizens wishing to address the Board during the "Comments from the Public" portion of the agenda should complete a Comments from the Public form and return it to the Superintendent's Office at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
